I Do Not Like This!!!

So, when I'm in a situation and I do not like it, how do I handle it?

Sometimes we find ourselves in circumstances that we would like to run from, ignore, complain about, argue about, even get angry about, but we know that none of those responses are God's way of handling the issue. Well, what IS God's way of dealing with it.

Let's look at God's Word for counsel.

#1. James 1:2
Consider it pure joy, my brothers, when you encounter trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Allow perseverance to finish its work, so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

There's more going on than what meets your eye. The trials of many kinds that we go through have a mission of causing us to mature to make us ready for what lies ahead. So persevere in it, don't cop an attitude. Allow this issue to do its job so you won't lack what you need. Stick with it joyfully. This will prove to be in your best interest untimately.

#2. Hebrews 13:15
Through him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that acknowledge his name.

Psalm 42:5
Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation.

Acts 16:16-40
When Paul and Silas had been unfairly judged....vs 23-26. They were severely beaten, and then they were thrown into prison. The jailer was ordered to make sure they didn’t escape. So the jailer put them into the inner dungeon and clamped their feet in the stocks.
Around midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing praises to God, and the other prisoners were listening. Suddenly, there was a massive earthquake, and the prison was shaken to its foundations. All the doors immediately flew open, and the chains of every prisoner fell off!

Praise God as a sacrifice despite the turmoil within, regardless of the circumstances....right or wrong, fair or unfair. Praise God!!!! Put you hope in Him. He is the One who rescues and delivers us!

#3. Genesis chapters 37 39, 40, 41
Follow Joseph's example. Certainly he was treated unfairly. He was sold into slavery by his brothers and sold into service in Potiphar's house, where he was promoted all the way to being Potiphar's personal attendant in charge of his entire household and everything he owned. It was obvious that God was with him. It also was obvious that in all of his ways, Joseph pleased God. Again, Joseph was unfairly accused by Potiphar's wife and put into prison. In his time of being in prison, Joseph did what was right. He did excellently at what what given him to do. His respectful attitude, diligent work and admirable behavior were noticed by others. He was promoted because of it. Eventually, he was released from prison, put into leadership...2nd most powerful man in Egypt. He was put a position of helping multitudes of people. He saved the lives even of his own family.

So, in the midst of what I do not like....do excellently at what is at hand to do. Maintain a right attitude and godly behavior no matter what. This situation is only temporary. God has a greater plan!!!! Be joyful and Praise God all the way through to the other end!!!! In due time, God will put you in the place He has planned for you to be in. You will fulfill His purpose for your life if you stay in the fight, don't give up or run away and conduct yourself in the ways that are pleasing to God.
